The Easter Egg Hunt

This Easter I volunteered to host Easter dinner. This was the very first time I have ever hosted any holiday function at my house. My precious mother-in-law always takes on this task and does a fabulous job. However, it is a lot of work, and it seems only appropriate that we start taking turns. So, I took on Easter. I must say, I was nervous/hesitant at first to put on Easter dinner, but everything went smoothly. My mother-in-law still supplied the ham, (which I think is the hardest part anyway), I did the salad and the rolls, and my sister-in-law provided the desserts. Everything went well. Thank you Jesus for making my first attempt run so smooth!

The type of weather you are going to get at Easter in Wisconsin is never predictable. We've had some Easters' with sunny skies and some with cold and rain. This always makes planning the Easter egg hunt for your childrent that much more interesting. Well, this Easter proved no different. The day started off somewhat sunny, but by dinner, cold and snowing. So we did what any other innovative family would do, and held our Easter egg hunt indoors. Here is a picture of Morgan with her cousins, Samantha and Mikayla, as they start to hunt for their eggs.

Tyler really got into it and was bound and determined to find every one of them!!!

Morgan ditched her Easter egg basket for a plastic garbage bag; she wasn't gonna mess around!!

In the end, the kids all had fun, found a ton of eggs, messed up the house, and decided it was time to dance and make pyramids!! Ahhh! kids, they sure make the holidays fun!!
